Barminco provides on-the-job training at our fully equipped workshops on sites throughout Australia and at our central workshop in Perth.Barminco Ltd is currently seeking 4th Year Auto Electrical Apprentices to join us at our Queensland mining operations to complete their apprenticeship with a view to a long-term career in Mining Maintenance.Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman you will be required to attend breakdowns and first response problem solving in the field & Underground along with scheduled maintenance.KEY POINTS:These Permanent Full Time wages roles paying Superannuation on all hours worked at 10.25%Excellent post trade career opportunities with in Australia and InternationallyFIFO from Brisbane & Townsville on a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rosterDuties and Responsibilities:Conduct all preventative, scheduled and breakdown maintenance on underground mobile equipment, drills and light vehicles;Electrical fault and failure diagnostics as required;Parts identification and parts ordering;A high regard for and practice health and safety at all times.Minimum Requirements:Ability to read schematics;Experience in Vehicle Air Conditioning systems;Previous experience with heavy equipment is highly desirable.‘C’ Class Manual Drivers Licence.Demonstrated abilities to work within a team environmentPrevious experience working within the mining industryCommitment to safety.Your proactive attitude to safety and driven work ethic will see you as a much valued employee in line with Barminco's values and ‘can do' attitude, and will be rewarded with a highly competitive remuneration package completing our vision of a work life balance in a strong team environment.A full pre-employment medical is required, including a drug and alcohol screen and site specific clearances.
