Supported by a safe and performance orientated culture, AUMS believe investing in our people and backing them with state of the art equipment and world's best practice is critical to the success of our numerous operations across Africa.We are actively seeking a highly experienced Alternate Maintenance Foreman to join us in our West African Operations on a permanent 6 week on, 4 week off roster.The emphasis of the role is to provide supervision, oversight and a safe working environment to on-site maintenance personnel, ensuring planned maintenance and servicing of site mobile equipment is carried out efficiently and safely using sound judgement to meet the objective of maximising production capability. You will require boundless energy, resilience, determination and a genuine interest in working with people from different cultures.Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:Initiate immediate remedial action on equipment breakdown and parts ordering if applicableEnsure Statutory Inspections are maintained and recorded as per AUMS's procedureEffectively manage the execution of planned work orders to reflect the forecast maintenance planned scheduleReview the maintenance KPI’s and maintenance history to identify equipment specific issuesMonitoring of costing and expenditure in accordance with the budgetActive involvement in safety initiatives including participation in maintenance related incident and accident investigations, risk assessments and JSA useProvide mentoring and support to National workforce and ensure effective implementation of AUMS training program for these employeesMinimum Requirements:Extensive experience in all areas of maintenance of underground mobile equipment in a high productivity underground mining contract environment.Highly experienced in all areas of maintenance of underground mobile equipment, with up to date knowledge of late generation large Sandvik, CAT and Atlas underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems.Thorough knowledge of underground mining maintenance methods, operations and procedures.Good communication, management & planning skills with ability to monitor expenditure in accordance with budgets.Current Mechanical or relevant Trade CertificateExposure to the PRONTO (or similar) plant maintenance and costing system and exposure to report writer.Proven experience managing and training a team of maintenance personnel to high standards.International drivers licence.A full pre-employment medical is required, including a drug and alcohol, and site specific clearances. A National Police Clearance and any necessary tickets or qualifications are required to be presented at time of interview.
