Winter break experience may be available to students who have completed summer vacation work with Barminco.Vacation students will be competitively remunerated at entry level operator rates for the program.We commence recruitment for our Vacation Work Program in September each year for the summer vacation period.Duties and Responsibilities:FIFO From Perth and working on a 14/7 roster, day shift only, your vacation work will see you performing underground operational roles to help you understand the underground environment and the daily operation on the mine. You will complete Truck and Nipper duties with in your allocated crew on site;Truck DriverYou will be responsible for, but not limited to, loading, hauling and dumping ore/waste material from development and production sources in the underground mine to assigned stockpiles or areas on the surfaceFollow instructions from loader operators to accept dirt and fully load and balanced trucks;Dump waste materials in underground areas for the purpose of back filling and structural;Monitor the work areas being worked in and water down or scale as necessary;Be proactive in any and all EHS initiatives, reporting all incidents and potential safety hazards.NipperOffside development drill operators;Assist Jumbo Operators with bolting and meshing as required;Ensure inspections and maintenance is carried out on all equipment before use;Ensure all tools are serviceable and safe;Follow instructions from Bogger drivers;Maintain ground support storage area;Truck driving as required;Set up headings with bolt and mesh and assist service crew when possible.Skills, Experience & Attributes:Ability to FIFO from PerthC' Class Drivers Licence.Your proactive attitude to safety and driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee in line with Barminco's values and ‘can do' attitude, and will be rewarded with a highly competitive remuneration package completing our vision of a work life balance in a strong team environment.Vacation students will be competitively remunerated at entry level operator rates for the programWe commence recruitment for our Vacation Work Program in September each year for the summer vacation period.If you are successful, as part of the onboarding process, you will be required to undertake a full pre-employment medical, and drug and alcohol screening.
