We look forward to receiving your application for the following position.The Opportunity:Barminco Ltd is seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant join our Hazelmere Head Office as part of the Finance Team.Reporting to the Group Management Accountant, the Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the fixed asset function within the Barminco Finance Team. The Opportunity:

Barminco Ltd is seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant join our Hazelmere Head Office as part of the Finance Team.

Reporting to the Group Management Accountant, the Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the fixed asset function within the Barminco Finance Team. In addition to fixed assets the role will encompass Power BI report writing of which you will be provided training for.

Key Accountabilities:

Fixed Assets:

  • Preparation of the monthly Capital Report and forecast
  • Processing of asset disposals
  • Processing of asset capitalisations
  • Depreciation posting
  • Processing of hire purchase contracts and monthly repayments
  • Reports:
    • Depreciation forecast
    • Capex report
    • Hire purchase forecast
    • WDV of assets per sites
    • WDV of disposals
    • PPE Movement reconciliation
    • Capex spend stat vs management accounts
  • Managing the accounting treatment for international transfers
  • Reviewing workshop PL’s with the workshop managers

BI Report Writing:

  • Assist in the company’s transformation to Power BI reporting
  • Build BI finance reports as directed by the Finance Manager

Other:

  • Oversee settlement of PM and internal orders
  • GL reconciliations
  • Month end journals

Essential Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • CA or CPA qualified or working towards completion
  • Previous experience with SAP critical to the success of this role
  • Experience in fixed assets, within a similar position in the Mining Industry will be highly regarded
  • Strong computer skills, with advanced skills in Excel
  • The ability to prioritise and work under pressure and to tight deadlines, while ensuring key deliverables are achieved
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact and develop rapport with key internal stakeholders
  • Be team focused and possess an outstanding work ethic
