We look forward to receiving your application for the following position.The Opportunity:Barminco Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and motivated HSE&T Coordinator to join our operations close to Mount Isa in Queensland, working a roster of 8 days on, 6 days off or alternatively, 14 days on, 14 days off.Reporting to the Senior HSE&T Coordinator you will be responsible for environmental, health and safety, training delivery and management and HS&E incident support. In addition, the role will be heavily involved in partnering with site operations management to ensure Barminco’s safety values and culture are effectively promoted and adopted across the operations.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct, manage and report on all HSE incident investigations inclusive of development and implementation of remedial action.Provide technical support as required to accident investigations to ensure a thorough and documented approach is used.Develop and distribute weekly/monthly HSE reports, presentations and HSE topic that provide our stakeholders with workplace injury statistics, new initiatives and system changes.Conduct regular and scheduled audits of HSE&T and systems, programs and site locations work environments.Maintaining of records, reports and documents required to meet corporate, site and regulatory requirements.Undertake risk assessments of new or changed plant, chemicals, facilities etc.Direct communications between injured employees, their management and medical providers to ensure that all parties are aware of rights, responsibilities and recovery plans.Provide on-site Inductions ensuring all employees and contractors are site compliant and competent to perform the required tasks/roles.Maintenance and facilitation of critical registers, including but not limited to; inspection schedules, hazard boards, calibrated equipment, lifting and slinging etc.Conduct regular and scheduled workplace inspections across various locations across various sites.Conduct and facilitate training of operational personnel, assessing for competence, identifying shortfalls in skillsets, ensuring training is realistic and practical, accurately recording and displaying competency data.Provide HSE&T mentoring to operational personnel through crew presentations, communications and knowledge sharing of learnings from incidents.Attend and provide input to the regular operations meetings such as weekly safety meetings, production meetings.Review and realignment of company and site procedures/safe work practices as necessary.Responsible for the accuracy of information being entered into company database. Skills, Experience & Attributes:Valid Driver’s License Class ‘C’.Diploma in WH&SCertificate IV qualifications in Training and AssessmentHigh level of integrity.3 years’ experience in similar roles and/or operational experience in underground mining.Strong interpersonal, management and communication skillsStrong sense of urgency and outcomes focusedKnowledge and application of HSE legislation and compliance requirements to Barminco and the client’s safety systemsExperience of providing supportive specialist advice and management to internal and external clientsExcellent English communications skills and ability to manage diverse and in some instances multi-cultural teamsWell-developed time management and planning skills are essentialThe ability to influence and engage with operational and non-operational employees and contractors with good demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, influencing skills and including consultationStrong observation and analytical skills along with attention to detailExperienced with a large ERP software/HSE&T information systems and reporting tools (e.g. MyOsh, INX)Information security – appreciate the importance of securing commercial and confidential informationSafety - observe safety procedures and use equipment and materials properlyYour proactive attitude to safety and self-driven work ethic, will see you be a highly valued employee, who aligns with Barminco's core values and ‘can do' attitude.
