Based at our Hazelmere Head Office, this role will support and assist in the design, development, implementation, coordination and delivery of Barminco’s Corporate Induction, as well as training and safety programs.Reporting to the Training Superintendent, this role will also assist in the efficient management of a training data base and LMS for the recording and delivery of training in INX, as well as supporting off site training and integrating effectively with onsite training.We are committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment where our people can develop, both personally and professionally. Your proactive attitude to safety, diligent approach and excellent work ethic, will see you become a highly valued member of the Barminco Training Department.Duties & Responsibilities:Assist in the development of the Barminco corporate induction and safety training packagesDeliver inductions and safety training packages competently and professionallyEnsure the correct current documents are used for training purposesIdentify opportunities to improve training materials and course delivery in line with QA/QC planChampion alignment of personal and business values in relation to training engagement and clearly describe behavioral expectations within training programsMonitor course feedback and escalate change recommendationsWork with key stake holders to ensure training requirements are met and expected training outcomes are achievedEnsure all training is recorded appropriately and accurately, in a timely manner.Assist in training other trainers as required to the highest possible standardsAssist training and safety teams to apply changes to policies and procedures within relevant training packagesMonitor personal development to continuously improve knowledge and skill in appreciating site conditions and contextConduct workplace inspections to maintain safe training venues and equipmentActively participate in safety meetings and ensure personal safety actions are completed within agreed time-framesProvide a service to, coach and educate employees with respect to Barminco policies and proceduresSkills, Experience & Attributes:Hold a Certificate IV training qualification and Certificate IV OHS qualificationAdditional training, safety and/or other related mining qualificationsUnderground operational experienceExperience in establishing training programsAbility to communicate effectively with all employees, management and internal and external customersTime management skillsThorough knowledge and application of Learning & Development with relevance to Barminco and its Clients’ requirementsDemonstrated experience in delivering training and assessment in mining environment.Ability to apply and practice the principles of adult learningHold a current and valid manual driver’s licenseKnowledge of relevant Mining Legislation, Acts, Regs and Standards that need to be referenced within the training programKnowledge of the AQTF and the requirement to map training programs to nationally recognised units of competencyBarminco welcomes and encourages those who possess the skills, experience and motivation as outlined above, to apply for this position. The Opportunity:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of the Barminco corporate induction and safety training packages
  • Deliver inductions and safety training packages competently and professionally
  • Ensure the correct current documents are used for training purposes
  • Identify opportunities to improve training materials and course delivery in line with QA/QC plan
  • Champion alignment of personal and business values in relation to training engagement and clearly describe behavioral expectations within training programs
  • Monitor course feedback and escalate change recommendations
  • Work with key stake holders to ensure training requirements are met and expected training outcomes are achieved
  • Ensure all training is recorded appropriately and accurately, in a timely manner.
  • Assist in training other trainers as required to the highest possible standards
  • Assist training and safety teams to apply changes to policies and procedures within relevant training packages

Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • Hold a Certificate IV training qualification and Certificate IV OHS qualification
  • Additional training, safety and/or other related mining qualifications
  • Underground operational experience
  • Experience in establishing training programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all employees, management and internal and external customers
  • Time management skills
  • Thorough knowledge and application of Learning & Development with relevance to Barminco and its Clients’ requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training and assessment in mining environment.
  • Ability to apply and practice the principles of adult learning
  • Hold a current and valid manual driver’s license
  • Knowledge of relevant Mining Legislation, Acts, Regs and Standards that need to be referenced within the training program
