The role will be offered on an initial six-month contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent later in the year.Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, the position will be responsible for the full 360-degree recruitment and hiring process of skilled trades and labour for Barminco’s various Australian Operations.This busy and challenging role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Recruitment of FIFO Underground Mining Personnel for various Barminco Sites.Source, screen and interview under tight time constraints for positions including: Truck Drivers, AGI Operators, Shotcrete Operators, Service Crew, Paste Crew, Bogger Operators, Charge Up Operators, Jumbo Operators etc.Develop strong relationships with the relevant internal stakeholders, and provide advice around sourcing strategies and current market conditions.Complete reference checks, request National Police Clearances and book pre-employment medicals.Prepare Offers of Employment for potential new hires, as well as other administrative tasks required during the hiring and onboarding process.Update Recruitment Spreadsheet, as well as the Recruitment Database.Liaise with and update sites on progress for outstanding recruitment activities.Skills, Experience & Attributes:Extensive experience working as an Internal Recruiter within the Resources Sector, preferably in Underground Mining.A sound knowledge of Underground Mining Trades.Solid understanding of recruiting principles, and the ability to communicate and share that knowledge with internal stakeholders.Strong computer skills, and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.The ability to prioritise, multitask and work to tight timeframes.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Be a team player, for whom no task is too big or too small.Your proactive attitude to safety and self-driven work ethic, will see you be a highly valued employee, who aligns with Barminco's core values and ‘can do' attitude.
