The Opportunity:Barminco Ltd is currently seeking a suitably experienced Light Vehicle Mechanics for our Agnew operations based in the Goldfields of WA.Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to work as a part of the site services team in managing the scheduled, preventative and breakdown maintenance of Light to Medium Underground Mining Vehicles.The position offered is FIFO Ex-Perth on a 2/1 roster.Duties and Responsibilities:Undertake preventative, scheduled maintenance and repairs / improvements to all light and medium mobile equipment and various mobile units;Unscheduled breakdown repairs, light equipment recovery;Ensure a safe workplace through daily inspections for hazards;Diagnose faults and recommend repairs / improvements;Perform maintenance according company standards and work instructions;Maintain critical maintenance data on a daily basis;Be proactive in all preventative maintenance procedures to ensure quality repairs are maintained.Minimum Requirements:Australian Light Vehicle Mechanical Trade Certificate;Minimum C Class Australian Drivers Licence;Ability to work autonomously/independently with limited supervision;The ability to diagnose and fault find low voltage electrics;Demonstrated abilities to work within a team environment;Previous experience working within the mining industry, preferably with underground experience;Commitment to safety.Your proactive attitude to safety and driven work ethic will see you as a much valued employee in line with Barminco's values and ‘can do' attitude, and will be rewarded with a highly competitive remuneration package completing our vision of a work life balance in a strong team environment.A full pre-employment medical is required, including a drug and alcohol screen and site specific clearances.
