About Barminco:Barminco is part of the Ausdrill Group, an ASX 200 company and Australia’s second largest integrated mining services provider.  We are a global leader in hard rock underground mining; together with African Underground Mining Services (AUMS) we operate in Australia, India and across Africa in Egypt, Ghana, Tanzania and Burkina Faso.  New projects will see Barminco and AUMS grow to 3,700 employees in 2019.Our values of Safety, Integrity and Excellence are the cornerstone of everything we do.  Our purpose is to create value for mine owners and we are absolutely focused on delivering for our customers, with a vision to be the world’s leading hard rock underground mining services provider.The collective capability of our people is critical to our success and we are looking for talented people who share our values and are as committed to creating value for our clients as we are.The Opportunity:Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent and with strong functional relationships with the site Safety and Operations Team, we have several permanent opportunities for an extensively experienced and professional Maintenance Foreman. This site-based opportunity will work a family-friendly 8/6 roster, working with in the mobile maintenance department, to provide supervision, oversight and a safe working environment to the on-site maintenance team, ensuring planned maintenance and servicing of site mobile equipment is carried out efficiently and safely using sound judgement to meet the objective of maximising production capability.You will assist in identifying improvement initiatives, as well as championing ongoing development of Barminco’s strong safety culture and high-performance objectives.Duties and Responsibilities:You will be responsible for:Maintaining a positive safety, quality and performance culture within the maintenance department consistent with the purpose, ambition and core values of Barminco.Providing clear leadership and standards across the Maintenance department through visual leadership behaviours, clear communication to crew leaders and work teams.Providing leadership, direction and technical advice to the maintenance team in the workshop and the field to achieve established safety, environmental and production goals against Barminco Standards.Ensuring that strong support is in place to enable completion of high-quality incident investigations, to identify and prevent recurrence of incidents and improve safety leadership and culture within the maintenance department at the mine site.Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of Barminco maintenance management systems in line with our ambition to become the world’s leading underground hard rock mining service provider.Ensuring the day to day operation of the workshop and the delegation of work to the workshop personnel.Executing and supervise all the maintenance work both planned and unplanned.Ensuring that plant and equipment are safely and cost effectively maintained to a level that ensures the ongoing availability of the plant and equipment to meet operations requirements.Ensuring all maintenance tasks performed are within the compliance of safe operating procedures and standard job guidelines.Supporting and training maintenance personnel to provide a safe, efficient and effective work place including participating in the technical and performance evaluation of maintenance personnel and providing constructive feedback to improve their competency.Oversee the development and management of equipment parts lists, consumable lists, stock levels of parts and consumables.Skills, Experience & Attributes:Extensive experience working as a Maintenance Foreman with in an underground mining environment and involvement with earthmoving machinery including makes such as CAT and SandvikAustralian Recognised Heavy-Duty Mechanical OR Auto Electrical Trade CertificateC' Class Drivers Licence.Commitment to safetyStrong credibility in working with and influencing a front line operational workforceDemonstrated capability in a progressive leadership role – moving beyond a compliance focus to leadership, effective safety systems and personal behavioursAbility to act as a key focal point / subject matter expertStrong understanding and capability in safety culture and leadership concepts and practical application of risk assessment; hazard identification and controls; and incident management and investigationProficient in the MS Office suiteYour proactive attitude to safety, diligent approach and strong work ethic, will see you become a highly valued member of Barminco’s Onsite Maintenance Team.If you have the outlined skills, drive and experience to be an asset to Barminco, we welcome your interest and encourage you to apply.
