We look forward to receiving your application for the following position.The Opportunity:Barminco Ltd is currently sourcing an extensively experienced Maintenance Manager to join our Maintenance Department, based in our Hazelmere Head Office.Reporting to the GM of Asset Management, the Maintenance Manager will lead the overall management of the maintenance function for Barminco to ensure effective and efficient planning and completion of the maintenance work in a safe, cost effective and timely manner.This challenging and pivotal role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to continue your career development and work alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.Key Responsibilities:To lead and manage the maintenance function and its activities and capabilities that focus on safety, reliability, cost improvement and adhere to Barminco’s policies, procedures and engineering standards.Communicate and coordinate directly with the Operations, Supply and Commercial Departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.Direct objective setting, plan development and performance review of maintenance function performance.Define, track, analyse and improve key maintenance performance parameters.Manage and motivate employees to be proactive team members that look for continuous improvement.Provide coaching and development to maintenance personnel.Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with other departments and clients.Prioritise maintenance facilities activities as required and coordinate with the Maintenance Planner where required.Oversee the planning and coordinating of maintenance projects.Work with Maintenance Superintendents, Supervisors and Maintenance Planners to determine resource and workforce requirements.Ensure adequate stock of spares and consumable supplies are available for the maintenance function.Ensure maintenance management and reporting systems are in place and properly utilised.Manage the strategic requirements for maintenance at Barminco.Develop cost control and budgeting requirements for maintenance.Participate in the technical and performance evaluation of maintenance personnel, and provide constructive feedback to improve their competency.Providing ongoing coaching or training and supporting the maintenance personnel.Effectively and timely supervision of senior maintenance personnel helping them in achieving their required KPIs and objectives.Skills, Experience & Attributes:Extensive experience within Underground Mining.Well established experience in maintenance management position.Possess a high level of integrity.Strong and demonstrable commitment to safety, quality and the continuous improvement in heavy duty maintenance operations and planning.Significant senior experience managing maintenance activities, facilities and personnel to achieve safe, reliable and cost-effective maintenance solutions.Good working knowledge of relevant maintenance and related mining Statutory / Regulatory Standards and Codes.Project management/planning experience.Experience with computer based planned maintenance systems and procedures.Demonstrated knowledge of risk and safety management systems and processes associated with heavy maintenance operations.Dependably exercise sound judgement and decisions.Be goals driven and outcomes focused.Excellent communication skills, with ability to manage a diverse workforce.Demonstrated time management, planning and cost management skills are essential.The ability to influence and engage with key internal and external stakeholders.Strong observation and analytical skills along with a keen attention to detail.Experienced with computers & information management system and reporting tool (e.g. SAP).Your proactive attitude to safety and your highly driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued Barminco employee, who aligns with our values and ‘can do' attitude.
