We look forward to receiving your application for the following position.The Opportunity:Barminco Ltd is currently seeking a suitably experienced Mine Foreman to join us at our site based Operations in WA, working a family friendly FIFO roster out of Perth.Reporting directly to the Project Manager you will be required to work closely with the Mining Department and be responsible for the day to day planning and organisation of Underground Mining Operations ensuring that obligations to Mines Safety and Inspection acts are complied with.This challenging and rewarding role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Supervision of Underground Shift Supervisors and operatorsLiaise with the client contact ensuring expectations are realistic and projected targets are achieved safely and to specificationsCoordinate manpower, roster preparation, Annual leave scheduling and assist with employment / deployment of workforcePromptly act on any safety issues that arise, ensuring accident / incident reporting is carried out and followed up.Carry out regular inspections of plant and equipment and communicate with the Maintenance Department regularly on equipment scheduling.Maintain a strong emphasis on compliance with health and safety legislation Skills, Experience & Attributes:Have extensive, recent experience in a similar position within Underground Mining, preferably working for a large ContractorHave your Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First-Class Mine Mangers Certificate of CompetencyPossess proven leadership experienceHave excellent communication and time management skillsStrong emphasis on compliance with health and safety legislationPossess sound communication skills and the ability to liaise with and influence key internal and external stakeholdersYour proactive attitude to safety and highly driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee, who aligns with Barminco's values and ‘can do' attitude.  Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • Have extensive, recent experience in a similar position within Underground Mining, preferably working for a large Contractor
  • Have your Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First-Class Mine Mangers Certificate of Competency
  • Possess proven leadership experience
  • Have excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong emphasis on compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Possess sound communication skills and the ability to liaise with and influence key internal and external stakeholders
