Our goal is to improve Barminco’s gender and indigenous diversity across our Australian and International Operations.The Opportunity:Due to continued company growth, we have opportunities for two experienced and passionate Recruitment Specialists to join our People Department in Hazelmere.Recruitment Specialist - Maintenance (Recruiting Maintenance personnel for all of Barminco's Australian Operations in WA & QLD).Recruitment Specialist - International (Recruiting Underground Mining & Maintenance personnel for all of Barminco's International Operations).Reporting to the Recruitment Team Leader, the ‘Recruitment Specialist’ roles will require a strong, collaborative and functional relationship with our central and site based Operations Teams. They will partner with various Managers and Supervisors to provide expert advice and support to them and their extended teams regarding the resourcing and recruitment of the required Underground Mining and Maintenance personnel for their respective site areas. A strong background in recruitment, preferably within the resources sector, will provide you with the ability to analyse, develop and implement sourcing and attraction strategies in what is a tight and competitive market. Your experience will also hold you in good stead to identify and engage the high-quality talent required for our growing business. You will be supported to identify improvement initiatives and to champion the ongoing development and success of the Barminco Recruitment Department.These busy and challenging positions will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.Duties and Responsibilities:The Recruitment Specialists will be responsible for the full 360-degree recruitment process including administrative, mobilisation & onboarding tasksSource and screen underground mining personnel under tight time constraints for your respective sitesCreate advertisements for the Barminco Careers Site, Seek, and Social Media platformsConduct telephone and face to face behavioural interviews with potential candidatesDevelop strong relationships and partner effectively with your relevant internal stakeholdersConduct background reference checks on potential new hiresMaintain recruitment data, so reporting to the business is accurate and available as requiredBook medical appointments, lodge National Police Clearance checks and submit site access documentationMaintain the recruitment database (My Recruitment +)Skills, Experience & Attributes:Previous experience in underground mining will be highly regarded but is not essential; however, your ability to demonstrate relevant industry experience in a similar role is essentialThe ability to act as a key focal point / subject matter expert and advisor to your stakeholders for all recruitment related mattersPossess a solid understanding of best practice recruiting principlesStrong computer skills, and intermediate skills across the Microsoft Office SuiteThe ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlinesBe an outgoing, people person, who can build rapport, engage and influence their audienceThe ability to work autonomously and liaise closely with various levels of internal & external stakeholdersYour proactive attitude to making a difference, as well as your passion and driven work ethic, will see you as a much-valued member of the Barminco People Team.
