We look forward to receiving your application for the following position.Site Accountant The Opportunity:Barminco Ltd is currently has an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Site Accountant to join our Operations Team at Agnew Mine Site, working an ongoing 4 days on / 3 days off (some flexibility required) fly in / fly out roster out of Perth only.Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the reporting of monthly financial results for the site.Working with Barminco will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Monthly financial and management reportingEnd of Month activitiesAssistance with the annual budget and rolling forecastSupport the preparation of capital proposalsInteraction with operational staff to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the management reports and investigate any variances.Ongoing monitoring of management information in conjunction with operations management to ensure financial and management reports meet internal deadlines and are accurate and reliableAnalysis of results in comparison to latest pricing modelsEnsure monthly claims and invoices are prepared in accordance with contractual terms, and monitored to ensure timely receiptDatabase entryOther ad-hoc duties including stocktake counts and purchase order maintenanceSkills, Experience & Attributes:A minimum of 2+ years working within a similar position is requiredExperience within the Mining Industry would be highly desirable, although not essentialAdvanced skills in Microsoft ExcelExperience using SAP preferredHave an Accounting Degree and be CPA/CA qualified, or at least be studying towards CPA/CA certificationPossess the ability to work remotely and autonomously, while maintaining a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detailBe commercially savvy, with the ability to think outside the boxYour proactive attitude to safety and self-driven work ethic, will see you be a highly valued employee, who aligns with Barminco's core values and ‘can do' attitude. Site Accountant

The Opportunity:

Barminco Ltd is currently has an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Site Accountant to join our Operations Team at Agnew Mine Site, working an ongoing 4 days on / 3 days off (some flexibility required) fly in / fly out roster out of Perth only.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the reporting of monthly financial results for the site.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monthly financial and management reporting
  • End of Month activities
  • Assistance with the annual budget and rolling forecast
  • Support the preparation of capital proposals
  • Interaction with operational staff to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the management reports and investigate any variances.
  • Ongoing monitoring of management information in conjunction with operations management to ensure financial and management reports meet internal deadlines and are accurate and reliable
  • Analysis of results in comparison to latest pricing models
  • Ensure monthly claims and invoices are prepared in accordance with contractual terms, and monitored to ensure timely receipt
  • Database entry
  • Other ad-hoc duties including stocktake counts and purchase order maintenance

Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • A minimum of 2+ years working within a similar position is required
  • Experience within the Mining Industry would be highly desirable, although not essential
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using SAP preferred
  • Have an Accounting Degree and be CPA/CA qualified, or at least be studying towards CPA/CA certification
  • Possess the ability to work remotely and autonomously, while maintaining a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
  • Be commercially savvy, with the ability to think outside the box
