We look forward to receiving your application for the following position.The Opportunity:We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, career driven Trainee Warehouse Officer to join our operations based in Hazelmere.This challenging and rewarding role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to start, then further develop your career while working alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.The first six to 12 month period in the position will be based at our Hazelmere Warehouse, where you will undergoing training. Once your training has been successfully completed, the position will become site based at one of Barminco's remote WA Operations. This will require you to become a fly in / fly out employee, working a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster.With the above in mind, we are only seeking expressions of interest from those who are willing and able to work in a FIFO position.Key Responsibilities:Manually and mechanically assist with daily loading and unloading of inbound and outbound freightAccurately document Dangerous Goods to ensure compliance with the current DG legislationLoading and unloading of Explosives via MagazineMaintain a safe work environment in accordance to Company policies and proceduresAssist with daily Stores duties, including goods receiving, stocktaking and stock control processingMinimum Requirements:Some experience within a warehouse environment would be highly regarded, although not essentialThe ability to move into a FIFO position doing a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster within 12 months of commencementYou must hold a valid manual drivers’ license and a current forklift ticket.Be computer literate with the ability to use the Microsoft Suite of productsAn understanding of the process of receipting goodsHave a demonstrated proactive workplace health & safety behavioursPossess a positive attitude toward work and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentExperience using SAP would be advantageousYour proactive attitude to safety and self-driven work ethic, will see you be a highly valued employee, who aligns with Barminco's core values and ‘can do' attitude. Trainee Warehouse Officer

  • Mining Industry Entry Level Position
  • Hazelmere Based for 6 to 12 Months
  • Then Role Becomes FIFO on a 2 Weeks On / 1 Week Off Roster

  • Loading and unloading of Explosives via Magazine
  • Maintain a safe work environment in accordance to Company policies and procedures
  • Assist with daily Stores duties, including goods receiving, stocktaking and stock control processing

Minimum Requirements:

  • Some experience within a warehouse environment would be highly regarded, although not essential
  • The ability to move into a FIFO position doing a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster within 12 months of commencement
  • You must hold a valid manual drivers’ license and a current forklift ticket.
  • Be computer literate with the ability to use the Microsoft Suite of products
  • An understanding of the process of receipting goods
  • Have a demonstrated proactive workplace health & safety behaviours
  • Possess a positive attitude toward work and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using SAP would be advantageous
