Our goal is to improve Barminco’s gender and indigenous diversity across our Australian and International Operations.The Opportunity:Barminco is currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and motivated Underground Training Coordinator to join our operations at Agnew Mine Site in Western Australia, working an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster out of Perth.Reporting to the Senior Health, Safety & Training Coordinator you will be responsible for maintaining, developing and continuously improving training methods. This role will focus strongly on compliance to ensure that all personnel, including employees, labour hire personnel and subcontractors, have sufficient skills and competencies to undertake their work safely and efficiently in accordance with the Barminco Health and Safety Management System.This challenging and rewarding role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide on-site Inductions ensuring all employees and contractors are site compliant and competent to perform the required tasks/roles.Conduct and facilitate training of operational personnel, assessing for competence, identifying shortfalls in skillsets, ensuring training is realistic and practical, accurately recording and displaying competency data.Support the HSE&T Coordinators with safety related training initiatives.Provide HSE&T mentoring to operational personnel through crew presentations, communications and knowledge sharingReview and realignment of company and site procedures/safe work practices as necessary.Responsible for the accuracy of information being entered into company training database.Develop and distribute weekly/monthly Training reports, presentations and HSE topics that provide employees with workplace injury statistics, new initiatives and system changes.Coordinate and schedule all external training courses.Partnering with site operations management to ensure Barminco’s safety values and culture is effectively promoted and adopted across the operation.Skills, Experience & Attributes:Certificate IV qualifications in Training and AssessmentExperience within a similar site based roleUnderground Operational experience is essentialExperience with INX InTuition Training Software or similar preferred but not essential.Current Senior First Aid Certificate or equivalentValid Class ‘C’ Driver’s License.High level of integrityStrong interpersonal, management and communication skillsStrong sense of urgency and outcomes focusedKnowledge and application of HSE legislation and compliance requirements to Barminco and the client’s safety systemsWell-developed time management, planning and cost management skills are essentialThe ability to influence and engage with operational and non-operational employees and contractors with strong demonstrated communication and interpersonal skillsStrong observation and analytical skills, along with a keen attention to detailSafety - observe safety procedures and use equipment and materials properlyYour proactive attitude to safety and highly driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee, who aligns with Barminco's values and ‘can do' attitude.
