Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will be required to carry out the safe and efficient installation of cablebolt ground support utilizing a Sandvik DS421 Cable Bolter.This is a permanent position, FIFO out of Perth, on a 7/7 or 14/14 roster.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for application of the whole cable bolting process in an UG mineSafe and efficient installation of cablebolts for mine rehabilitation and ground supportEnsure the required raw materials and drill consumables are available on the job site at the start of shiftClearly interpret plans, production targets and schedules and work pro-actively to efficiently achieve the targetsAssisting with the safe maintenance and operation of the specific plant and equipmentParticipating in and growing the site safety cultureEnsure QA/QC compliance to cablebolting design and applicationUnderstand and apply best practice operational techniques to cablebolting operationsMinimum Requirements:Cablebolt drill experience with Sandvik experience highly regardedAbility to read and understand cable bolt plansStrong knowledge & understanding of ground support standardsCurrent manual Drivers LicenceCurrent First Aid and CPR Certificates would be highly regardedCurrent working at heights ticket highly regardedCurrent High Risk Vehicle loading crane licence (class CV)Good communication skills, both verbally and writtenYour proactive attitude to safety and self-driven work ethic, will see you be a highly valued member of the Agnew Operations Team.Should you possess the outlined skills, drive and experience to be an asset to Barminco, we welcome your interest and look forward to receiving your application.  Australia - WA Kalgoorlie, Goldfields & Esperance

  • Availability to commence ASAP
  • FIFO ex Perth on an even time roster
  • 10.25% Super Paid on all hours worked

The Opportunity

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for application of the whole cable bolting process in an UG mine
  • Safe and efficient installation of cablebolts for mine rehabilitation and ground support
  • Ensure the required raw materials and drill consumables are available on the job site at the start of shift
  • Clearly interpret plans, production targets and schedules and work pro-actively to efficiently achieve the targets
  • Assisting with the safe maintenance and operation of the specific plant and equipment
  • Participating in and growing the site safety culture
  • Ensure QA/QC compliance to cablebolting design and application
  • Understand and apply best practice operational techniques to cablebolting operations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Cablebolt drill experience with Sandvik experience highly regarded
  • Ability to read and understand cable bolt plans
  • Strong knowledge & understanding of ground support standards
  • Current manual Drivers Licence
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates would be highly regarded
  • Current working at heights ticket highly regarded
  • Current High Risk Vehicle loading crane licence (class CV)
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written
