Our vision is to be the world's leading hard rock underground mining services provider.Our capability is critical to our success - we are looking for people who are talented, share our core values and are as committed to creating value for our clients as we are.Diamond Drillers Assistants - Underground MiningThe Opportunity:Barminco Ltd is currently seeking candidates who would be suitable for the Drillers Assistants role across various mine sites throughout regional Western Australia.The Drillers Assistant role requires you to provide support to the Diamond Driller in all aspects in the day to day operation of the drill rig.Point of hire: PerthRoster: Fly in/Fly out 14/7 rosterDuties and Responsibilities:Repetitive lifting and carrying of drilling equipment up to 45kgs;Assist with set up of all types of drill rigs, both skid based and mobile carrier;Safely handle and operate drilling equipment;Handling inner tubes to retrieve core and empty into core trays;Conduct vehicle and equipment pre-start checks, and assist the driller with maintenance throughout the shift;Monitor and maintain stock levels ensuring that the driller is kept up-to-date with the rig needs and requirements for the incoming shift;Housekeeping of all equipment ensuring it is of the highest of standards with cleanliness to all work spaces a priority;Identify and rectify potential hazards and communicate immediately to the driller or supervisor. Skills, Experience & Attributes:A proactive attitude toward safety and hazard identification;Ability to work 12-hour shifts both day and night;Ability to work away from home for two weeks at a time;Mechanically minded;Clear communication skills;Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence;Ability to complete a Pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screen;Previous experience in labour intensive, physical role;A positive work ethic in line with company vision and values. Desirable:First Aid Certificate;National Police Clearance (within 6 months of issue);Previous experience in drilling and/or mining environmentWorking at Heights Certificate.Your positive attitude to safety and highly driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee. Diamond Drillers Assistants - Underground Mining

The Opportunity:

Barminco Ltd is currently seeking candidates who would be suitable for the Drillers Assistants role across various mine sites throughout regional Western Australia.
