We look forward to receiving your application for the following position.The Opportunity:Barminco Egypt is currently seeking a suitably skilled and experienced Underground Shift Supervisor to join us at our site based in Egypt on a 6 week on, 3 week off roster – immediate start.Reporting to the Mine Foreman, you will be required to oversee the day-to-day operation of shift workers and equipment usage. To ensure compliance requirements and ensure all staff are trained and competent to perform their duties safely and productively at all times.This challenging and rewarding role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.A preference will be given to those candidates that can speak Arabic.Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner and any safety issues are promptly reported to the Underground Foreman and Site Project Manager;Ensure ore is mined efficiently to the satisfaction of geology personnel and ensuring targets are met;Perform the daily supervision of the working areas of the mine in accordance with all relevant Acts and Regulations;Conduct daily work planning meetings / toolbox meetings;Submit incident reports in writing to the Mine Foreman/Site Project Manager for incidents that occur on shift as soon as possible but no later than 24 hours after the incident;Liaise with any Contractors on site, ensuring their work is coordinated with the other mining activities;Uphold Company policy on discipline and counsel personnel accordingly. (In conjunction with the Mine Foreman/Site Project Manager).Skills, Experience & Attributes:Current Australian Driver’s Licence;Underground Shift Supervisor Certificate;First Aid Certification;Solid history of reliability and good work ethic;5+ years' experience in underground mining operations;Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment & DASA proactive attitude toward safety and hazard identification.Your proactive attitude to safety and highly driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee, who aligns with Barminco's values and ‘can do' attitude. The Opportunity:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence;
  • Underground Shift Supervisor Certificate;
  • First Aid Certification;
  • Solid history of reliability and good work ethic;
  • 5+ years' experience in underground mining operations;
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment & DAS
  • A proactive attitude toward safety and hazard identification.
