Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will be required to carry out the installation, removal and maintenance repair of underground mine services.These opportunities are permanent positions, FIFO out of Perth, on a 14/7 roster.Barminco are offering experienced U/G Service Crew, with a minimum of 18 months recent experience, the opportunity to obtain their W.A. Shotfirer’s Licence (at Barminco’s cost) once the probationary period has been successfully completed.Duties and Responsibilities:Extend ventilation services to areas where needed, which includes hanging ventilation bags and moving/installing secondary fans;Extend water, air and pump services to areas where needed;Move and install pumps to areas where needed;Maintain and repair services and equipment such as vent bags, poly pipe and valves;Hand installation and grouting of cable bolts;Installation of underground infrastructure;Construction of ventilation walls;Installation of remote operated equipment infrastructure;Assist other U/G departments as requiredMinimum Requirements:Current & Valid Australian Drivers Licence;Rights to Work in Australia;Solid history of reliability and good work ethic;2+ years' experience in underground mining;Experience in underground service crew/paste crew work;Trade Qualification for Special Projects work;A proactive attitude toward safety and hazard identification.Your proactive attitude to safety and self-driven work ethic, will see you be a highly valued employee, who aligns with Barminco's core values and ‘can do' attitude. The Opportunity

Barminco Ltd is currently seeking suitably experienced U/G Service Crew and Paste Crew/Special Projects for our various sites in regional Western Australia.   • Assist other U/G departments as required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current & Valid Australian Drivers Licence;
  • Rights to Work in Australia;
  • Solid history of reliability and good work ethic;
  • 2+ years' experience in underground mining;
  • Experience in underground service crew/paste crew work;
  • Trade Qualification for Special Projects work;
  • A proactive attitude toward safety and hazard identification.
