Reporting to the Mine Foreman, and with regular interface with the site Safety and Operations Team, these key leadership roles will work a family-friendly 7/7 roster (Australian Sites). The successful applicants may also be considered for opportunities at one of our international operations.We are committed to providing a supportive work environment where our people can grow personally and professionally from exposure to new experiences.  Through training opportunities, such as our industry-leading Barminco Leaders Program, you will develop critical people and technical skills to enhance and optimise your career with us.Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner, and any safety issues are promptly reported to the Underground Foreman and Site Project ManagerPerform the daily supervision of the working areas of the mine in accordance with all relevant Acts and RegulationsConduct daily work planning meetings / toolbox meetingsLiaise with any contractors on site, ensuring their work is coordinated with other mining activitiesUphold Barminco policies and proceduresSkills, Experience & Attributes:Possession of a current WA Underground Shift Supervisor CertificateCredibility in working with and influencing a front line operational workforceCapability in a leadership role – able to operate beyond a compliance focus by showing leadership and implementing effective safety systemsStrong understanding and capability in safety culture and leadership concepts and practical application of risk assessment; hazard identification and controls; and incident management and investigationWorking knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly Mines Safety & Inspection Act 1994 and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations 1995Should you possess the skills, experience and ambition to be part of the Barminco team, we welcome your interest and look forward to receiving your application.  Australia - WA Kalgoorlie, Goldfields & Esperance

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner, and any safety issues are promptly reported to the Underground Foreman and Site Project Manager
  • Perform the daily supervision of the working areas of the mine in accordance with all relevant Acts and Regulations
  • Conduct daily work planning meetings / toolbox meetings
  • Liaise with any contractors on site, ensuring their work is coordinated with other mining activities
  • Uphold Barminco policies and procedures

Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • Possession of a current WA Underground Shift Supervisor Certificate
  • Credibility in working with and influencing a front line operational workforce
  • Capability in a leadership role – able to operate beyond a compliance focus by showing leadership and implementing effective safety systems
  • Strong understanding and capability in safety culture and leadership concepts and practical application of risk assessment; hazard identification and controls; and incident management and investigation
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly Mines Safety & Inspection Act 1994 and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations 1995
