We look forward to receiving your application for the following position.Barminco Ltd is currently seeking a suitably experienced and motivated Underground Trainer to join our Safety Team at the Agnew Mine Site working an 8/6 FIFO roster out of Perth.Reporting to the Senior HSE&T Coordinator you will be responsible for conducting on the job training & assessing of Underground Operators as well as maintaining, developing and continuously improving training methods. This role will focus strongly on compliance to ensure that all personnel, including employees, labour hire personnel and subcontractors, have sufficient skills and competencies to undertake their work safely and efficiently in accordance with the Barminco Health and Safety Management System.This challenging and rewarding role will provide the right candidate with an excellent opportunity to further develop their career in Underground Safety & Training working alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide on-site Inductions ensuring all employees and contractors are site compliant and competent to perform the required tasks/roles.Conduct and facilitate training of operational personnel, assessing for competence, identifying shortfalls in skillsets, ensuring training is realistic and practical, accurately recording and displaying competency data.Support the HSE&T Coordinators with safety related training initiatives.Provide HSE&T training & mentoring to operational personnel through crew presentations, communications & knowledge sharing.Responsible for the accuracy of information being entered into company training database.Develop and distribute weekly/monthly training reports, presentations and HSE topics that provide employees with workplace injury statistics, new initiatives and system changes.Coordinate and schedule all external training courses.Partnering with site operations management to ensure Barminco’s safety values and culture is effectively promoted across the operation.Skills, Experience & Attributes:Certificate IV qualifications in Training and Assessment or equivalent.Certificate IV Work Health & Safety preferred but not essential.Experience within a similar site based role.Underground Operational experience essential.Experience with INX InTuition Training Software or similar preferred but not essential.Current Senior First Aid Certificate or equivalent.Valid Class ‘C’ Driver’s License.High level of integrity.Strong interpersonal, management and communication skills.Strong sense of urgency and outcomes focused.Well-developed time management, planning and problem solving skills are essential.The ability to influence and engage with operational and non-operational employees and contractors with strong demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.Strong observation and analytical skills, along with a keen attention to detail.Your proactive attitude to safety and highly driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee, who aligns with Barminco's values and ‘can do' attitude.
