The Opportunity:Barminco Ltd have a rare opportunity for experienced underground Heavy Duty Fitters to join the established Maintenance Team in Agnew.   Reporting to the Maintenance Shift Supervisors you will be required to provide assistance to all underground production and maintenance teams through safe, cost effective and professional practices.Positions offered are on a 2 weeks on 1 week off roster.FIFO is ex Perth airport and we do not offer salary sacrifice on flights.Duties and Responsibilities:Completion of planned maintenance to mobile equipment;Attending site underground emergency breakdowns on mobile equipmentDiagnostic fault finding on mechanical and electrical systemsMajor repairs and servicing of heavy mining equipment.Ensure equipment is maintained safely to minimise cost and increase productivityUndertake risk assessments for jobs to be carried out on and around the plant, equipment and environs.Minimum Requirements:Solid history of working with underground mobile equipment;Trade Qualified as Heavy Duty Mechanic, ideally duel traded in Auto ElectricsPreviously worked in an underground mine doing FIFOHighly skilled in diagnostic and fault findingExperience with underground equipment - Caterpillar, Atlas Copco, Volvo IT Carriers, Sandvik & Tamrock DrillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills – able to communicate with people at all levels effectivelyDemonstrated ability to work safelyMust have good time management and work priority skillsAble to work individually and in a teamYour proactive attitude to safety and highly driven work ethic will ensure you are rewarded with a competitive remuneration package.The successful candidate will be required to complete a full pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol screen.  A current National Police Clearance plus Trade Certificates and relevant licenses will be required at the time of your interview.   • Highly skilled in diagnostic and fault finding
  • Experience with underground equipment - Caterpillar, Atlas Copco, Volvo IT Carriers, Sandvik & Tamrock Drills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to communicate with people at all levels effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely
  • Must have good time management and work priority skills
