The role will join our operations at the Sunrise Dam Mine Site, working an 8 day on, 6 days off roster, flying in and out of Perth.Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for maintaining compliance to the environmental, health and safety, training management system. In addition, the role will be heavily involved in partnering with site operations management to ensure Barminco’s safety values and culture are effectively promoted and adopted across the operations.This challenging and rewarding role will provide you with an excellent opportunity within our international organisation to further develop your career and work alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Providing information and advice to site management in all matters relating to health, safety and legal compliance.Coordinate the implementation of all HSE&T management systems and processes.Working with all leadership and employees to drive HSE&T awareness, capability and a strong safety culture.Guiding employees by ensuring safe work processes are in place and understood by all.Provide on-site inductions and training to all employees and contractors.Monitor the fitness for work, health and well-being of onsite personnel.Facilitate safety & pre start meetings to communicate safety and health related matters.Conduct training and verification of competencies.Coordinate and participate in the audit, inspection and task observation schedule.Provide HSE&T mentoring to operational personnel.Lead incident investigations and reporting to ensure correct processes are followed leading to quality investigation outcomes.Administer and assist the injury management and rehabilitation processes.Provide accurate and timely HSE&T reporting.Experience, Skills & Attributes Required:Valid C Class Driver’s LicenseCertificate IV in Training and AssessmentPreferred, but not essential, experience in an underground mining environmentExperience as a safety and training professionalExperience using event and training management databases such as INX highly regardedStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExperience in providing supportive specialist advice and management to internal and external clientsAn excellent knowledge of HSE and/or mining legislationCertificate/Diploma in WHSThe ability to manage diverse and in some instances, multi-cultural teamsA high sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlinesThe ability to influence and engage operational and non-operational personnel by demonstrating sound interpersonal skillsExcellent observation and analytical skills along with attention to detailYour proactive attitude to safety and driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee in line with Barminco's values and ‘can do' attitude, and will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package completing our vision of a work life balance in a strong team environment.A full pre-employment medical is required, including a drug and alcohol screen and site specific clearances.
