This role will be pivotal to ensure that catalogued materials have the correct sourcing and stocking strategy.This challenging and rewarding role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Catalogue and maintain all inventory records in SAP;Setup, maintain and report on all material and purchasing records, including MRP settings, vendor pricing, contracted vendors, product categorisations, critical items, slow moving and obsolescence identification;Analyse historical usage and forecasted projections of inventory to accurately setup MRP levels for each of our local and international projects;Develop procedures relating to the master data controls for inventory and purchasing;Support the purchasing department in extracting data for use in supplier analysis and tendering activities;Identify, evaluate and develop process improvements to master data managementSkills, Experience & Attributes:A minimum of 2 years’ experience using SAP MM moduleExperience setting up and maintaining inventory and purchasing records within SAPUnderstanding of MRP and ability to analyse data to establish preferred inventory levelsPrevious mining experience with a formal Inventory/Logistics Management course qualification would be highly desirableStrong computer skills, with ‘Advanced’ Excel skillsWell-developed time management and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work to deadlinesStrong observation and analytical skills with an excellent attention to detailKnowledge of UNSPSC product classification standards is desirableSAP business objects reporting experience is desirableYour proactive attitude to safety and highly driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee, who aligns with Barminco's values and ‘can do' attitude. The Opportunity:

Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • Experience setting up and maintaining inventory and purchasing records within SAP
  • Understanding of MRP and ability to analyse data to establish preferred inventory levels
  • Previous mining experience with a formal Inventory/Logistics Management course qualification would be highly desirable
  • Strong computer skills, with ‘Advanced’ Excel skills
  • Well-developed time management and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work to deadlines
  • Strong observation and analytical skills with an excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of UNSPSC product classification standards is desirable
  • SAP business objects reporting experience is desirable
